Your Ultimate Guide to Spectacular 4th of July Fireworks in Bay Area Houston
You can probably relate to this…
Have you ever wanted to watch a spectacular firework show but not be miles away and not find out about all the shows before they are already happening and then say to yourself next year, I’ll find out where they are and actually go see one? It can be frustrating when you’ve been counting down to watching the fireworks but don’t know where to be or when to be there. So, we wrote this article is for you!
Every year in Bay Area Houston we celebrate the 4th of July, and we do it in a BIG way. We go all out for our fireworks displays and family-friendly festivities, so pack your baycation bags, hop in the car and take a trip around the bay!
We will start in the beautiful island community of Clear Lake Shores. While Clear Lake Shores is not shooting off any of its own fireworks on the 4th, it’s a great place to grab a lawn chair and get a view of some of the surrounding shows. Two (2) of the best waterfront parks to watch 4th of July fireworks are Deep Hole Park and Sundial Park. Another great option is to head over to Okies Yardhouse, Aspens, or Galveston Bay Brewing Company for food, drinks, and fellowship. Suppose you don’t care to be too close to any shows but want a great outdoor spot to get glimpses of different shows and are in the Clear Lake Shores Area. In that case, all three places have outdoor patio seating with decent views of the Bay Area Houston skyline which are bound to feature a few beautiful displays.
Next, we will drive down marina bay drive to the great League City. Now, League City has been around for a while, but on top of being named one of the fastest-growing cities in the US, they also know how to put on a great show. They are having their Fireworks Extravaganza on July 3rd! This is an event and show you want to attend. Open to the public with lots to do, including a fireworks display, live music, inflatables, and food trucks. Head on over to Chester L. Davis Sportsplex for a great time. The fireworks show will be starting just after sundown! Additional parking and a shuttle service from Hometown Heroes Park will also be available.
Flip flops on and away we go, over to Nassau Bay, with a fantastic Parade starting at 6:00 p.m. on July 4th honoring Nassau Bay’s veterans. Following the parade, find a spot near the lake for a fireworks display at 9:00 p.m. Where to go to watch the show? Check out the Nassau Bay Peninsula or any of the parks close by.
Following Nasa Road 1, down to Seabrook, where we will find some more great locations to watch shows, grab a drink/food, and join the celebration. If you haven’t been yet, make sure to check out Cabo and Barge 295 for some great local bites and fantastic drink options. Not only that, but they are both on the water. Making them perfect places to grab a seat and enjoy the evening. Sam’s Boat is another excellent restaurant on the water to check out if you are looking for a 4th of July dinner option. Now what about the kids? Well, Seabrook is having an adorable 4th of July Kids Parade on July 1st! This parade is kicking off at 10:00 a.m., and the celebration will end around Noon at Meador Park in the heart of Seabrook. All kids from the Seabrook community are invited to walk and ride their bikes in the parade on the trail outlining Meador Park. After, they can enjoy several activities, including face painting and a moonwalk. Hot dogs and refreshments are also provided.
Leaving Seabrook and heading down 146, we are on our way to Texas City. Talk about an ALL-DAY CELEBRATION! Texas City is hosting its Independence Day Concert & Fireworks starting at 10am on July 4th and a fantastic live music show at 7:00 p.m. and ending at 9:00 p.m. with a fireworks display to remember! Make sure to check out Texas City’s website, which will have more details on the parade route and other activities happening. That said, make sure to have your lawn chairs and grab a seat at Bay Street Park for the show and fireworks.
Remember to be safe, drive carefully, be responsible, and of course have a great time!
Now go enjoy your #BAYCATION!
