It is the beginning of a new year, 2021 is our chance to bring joy and life back into the Texas Bay Area. There will be many fun, safe and socially distanced events and activities for you and your family to enjoy. So pull up our Calendar so you don’t miss out!
1. Cure Your Wintertime Blues at Kemah Boardwalk | Jan – Feb

Nothing cheers people up better than a good deal on great fun. Kemah Boardwalk understands and appreciates your woes from 2020. To kick off the new year, they are discounting the “All Day Ride Pass” for January and February; Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays! The Cure Your Wintertime Blues event is perfect for date nights, ladies night, friends, and family fun. If you are unfamiliar with the Kemah Boardwalk, it is a locally loved amusement park and weekend destination located on the Galveston Bay. Along with a gorgeous view of pelicans and boats, Kemah has many restaurants to choose from, games and activities, live music, and best of all, rides galore! Not to worry, there are rides to suit all age ranges, including the little ones, and wild roller coasters for the brave of heart! Social distancing will still be in place so please, don’t forget your mask along with a warm sweater.
2. Beads and Bark at the Park | Jan 23 at 10AM – 2PM

With January comes the beads and parades of Mardi Gras! But with Beads and Bark at the Park, get ready for a cuteness overload. This event is both kid and pet friendly so they can join in on the fun. Kids can bring their Mardi Gras themed decorated bikes, wagons, and strollers and have the opportunity to decorate a provided craft mask while at the park. Pets are welcome to dress up in their fanciest Mardi Gras outfit or in their cutest of costumes. Here you will be able to enter pets into a costume contest and let them walk the beloved “Paw-Parade” with a $5 entry fee that will benefit the LeagueCity Dog Park Association.
Be sure to come hungry. Cajun food trucks will be ready to serve while you enjoy the sultry sounds of live Zydeco music. Finish the event off with free king cake for all!
3. Shop, Eat, Spend, Enjoy Local: Vendor Market | Jan 30 at 11AM – 5PM
2471 Gulf Freeway League City, TX 77573
There has never been a better time to support small businesses. This local Vendor Market is an opportunity to stand with the community. Little Bella Mia Casual Italian Kitchen will be hosting the event on the sidewalks of their shopping center. Explore the stalls and shop for unique handmade items that you won’t be able to find in regular big box stores. At the Vendor Market, expect to find beautiful art, lovely body products, homemade wood working, sparkling jewelry, yummy candy, and much more!
Little Bella Mia, Coco Crepes, Black Bear Diner, and Beef Jerky Outlet will be there to give many food and snack options. This is a free event, so bring the whole family to browse through the market. Come hungry and leave happy!
4. Yardi Gras at BARge 295 | Feb 5 – Feb 16

Celebrate Mardi Gras in style on the Clear Lake. BARge 295 is hosting two long weekends of entertainment, including Fat Tuesday. Expect to rock out to live music, indulge on drink specials, and gorge on fresh classic crawfish! One of the many exciting events at the BARge 295 includes, the 2nd Annual Gumbo Cook Off on the 13th! Get to taste a variety of delicious gumbo or show off your own special recipe and get a chance to win a prize! 5. Yachty Gras Grand Night Boat Parade | Feb 6 at 7PM Kemah Boardwalk
Come out to Kemah and watch the free boat light show at the Kemah Boardwalk dock. It will be a sight to marvel at as dozens of colorfully decorated and bright boats pass by in the night. Make sure to practice your catch and collect all the beads that are thrown during the parade. The boat parade will be passing through the Clear Creek Channel, so arrive early and save yourself a spot!

6. Mardi Gras Party at Haak Winery | Feb 6 at 12PM – 8PM 6310 Avenue T Santa Fe, TX United States
Is the water not your thing? That’s ok, Haak Winery is hosting an elegant function with an exquisite Cajun and seafood menu. This is the perfect time to get your fancy dresses and tuxes out of the closet and dust them off. Don’t forget your Mardi Gras mask!
